Data gathered.

Patients treated.

Time saved.

Problem solved.

MyCare

Mission:

  1. Create a streamlined aggregator for patient data, thereby reducing the workloads of medical professionals, wait times, and unnecessary visits to doctor’s offices and emergency rooms

  2. Create a tool for patients to keep track of their appointments, medications, and doctors’ recommendations, improving communication, consistency, and quality of care.

My Role: Chief design engineer, expert advisor. Time and Place: 6 months, Central Europe

The Story

I spent over four years working in major metropolitan hospital complexes in Canada. I saw glaring issues in the way we managed our patients and their data, leading to unnecessarily long wait times and needlessly overworked medical professionals.

I found a way to contribute.

MyCare effectively;

Streamlines patient intake

Reduces unnecessary appointments

Improves the accuracy of diagnostics

and improves the quality of long-term care

Saving time.

MyCare enables direct, real-time monitoring in hospitals, clinics, or at home.

Patients can send their data directly to their doctor, thereby eliminating the need for frequent visits (and, by extension, reducing stress for patients and wait times at hospitals).

Visibility challenges?

Patients can choose between mobile or web apps.

The data you need at your fingertips.

Whether in the emergency room or a family clinic, healthcare workers always need vital statistics. MyCare sends data directly to desktops anywhere, from anywhere, adding life-saving time for treatment.

MyCare is designed to monitor vital signs using common, inexpensive devices. Patients don’t even need to leave their homes to receive a check-in.

My grandfather died after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Several members of my family have battled cancer. That’s how I learned that a person doesn’t get cancer -

the family gets cancer.

Long-term care is a lot of work. MyCare is designed to keep vital information current up to the second, and readily accessible to reduce the burden on families.

MyCare helps you stay informed about test results, keep up with your prescriptions, and book or reschedule appointments with specialists. It can also provide reminders, which is essential for many patients.

Care is universal.

MyCare automatically translates vital stats into local languages.

Currently supporting English, French, German, and Dutch, with more to come.

Multi-language functionality means data can be easily shared throughout the European Union, EFTA, and Schengen countries.

Don’t take my word for it.

Try it yourself.
